Violet McNeirney enlisted in the Army in December 1982 as an AG Soldier and served in various positions from squad leader, drill sergeant, first sergeant, to SGM with duties at Forts Bragg, Jackson, Bliss, Germany, Middle East, Korea, and others. She retired after 28 years of service culminating as the Garrison CSM, West Point, NY.
Since retirement she has done extensive volunteer work with military and non-profit organizations highlighting her leadership, passion for serving others, and her resourcefulness. An advocate of military programs, she served as an instructor, facilitator, and mentor to military spouses and families helping them navigate the military lifestyle. She is currently volunteering for the following non-profit organizations: Strategic Director, Heart on a Mission (HOAM), Secretary, VII Corps Desert Storm Veterans Association (DSVA), the National Military Family Association (NMFA), and Wear Blue: Run to Remember (the Fallen, the Fighting, and the Families). She has received the Presidential Volunteer Award.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Management and Leadership from Webster University.
