Colonel Mark Rado enlisted in the Army in 1985 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was commissioned as an Armor Officer in April 1986 upon graduation from The US Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He branch transferred to the Adjutant General’s Corps in November 1991.

He has served in diverse and complex organizations while serving as a career Human Resources Officer. Commanding at the Company, Battalion and Brigade level, he’s a proven leader who has served during both peace and war. COL (Ret) Rado is currently assigned as a Department of the Army Civilian and serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for United States Army Europe & Africa in Wiesbaden, Germany.

 He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Business Education from Wilkes College and a Masters of Education in Human Resources from Boston University. His military education includes the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Adjutant General Officer Advanced Course, the Combined Arms Services Staff School and the Command and General Staff College. He received a Masters Degree in Strategic Resources upon graduation from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and has also attended Airborne School, the NBC Officer Course, and the Junior Officer Maintenance Course.

Colonel Rado is the son of an Adjutant General Corps Soldier who served in both WWII and the Korean War, the late Sergeant First Class Anthony J. Rado and the late Mary R. Rado, a wonderful Army wife and mother. He has two sons; Gregory, a Senior Software Engineer who resides in Austin, TX, and Mark, Jr., who is a Sales Associate for Apple in Louisville, KY.
